Summit Details

Summit Pre-Session Activities: Although Dr. T. Colin Campbell's first presentation on Wednesday, November 16 at 7 pm is the first plenary session of the Summit, what happens in the previous 24 hours is important not only to new leaders and team members, but also to veteran leaders and volunteer staff.

  1. Basic Leadership Training Workshop – For New Leaders and Team Members: Begins Tuesday, November 15 at 7:00 pm and continues all day Wednesday. Basic Training is a prerequisite to running a first-time CHIP program. Dena Guthrie will coordinate this interactive, multi-dimensional instruction in cooperation with skilled and dynamic CHIP Leaders from around North America. The Workshop is scheduled before the full CHIP Summit begins so that all participants may join in every aspect of the rest of the weekend.
  2. For Veteran Leaders and Team Members, this offers time for both informal and formal networking – a time to discuss recurring issues including alumni retention and activities, marketing strategies, recruiting and maintaining volunteers, and making the spiritual connection. Or there are plenty of trails for hiking and an optional Santa Fe bus tour to consider.

Optional Bus Tour of Santa Fe — $35. See the sights and hear the history of Santa Fe in this 90-minute tour highlighting important historic sights as well as restaurants and places to shop. This fee includes pickup at Glorieta and return again after the bus tour. Departure times are 9:30 am and 2:30 pm on Wednesday, November 16. (The fee is based on a minimum of 10 persons.) The provider of this service is Custom Tours by Clarice. Reservations are required at 505-438-7116.
